This position is primarily responsible for providing
advanced technical support in the development/completion of assigned
environmental and regulatory projects in both an office and field environment.
Will conduct environmental assessments, wetland
delineations, threatened and endangered species surveys, environmental
research, environmental monitoring studies, operational plan preparation and
Prepares reports on assigned parts of environmental assessments
and/or studies, which typically adhere to established techniques and
conventional methods of investigation.
Will also assist in preparing permit
applications and coordinate the permit application process for projects. These
projects may be involved with the oil and gas industry, energy, wetland, and/or
protective species which require environmental permitting.
Candidates need to possess a Bachelors of Science Degree
or Master of Science Degree in biology, forestry, wildlife, fisheries, botany,
environmental sciences or similar field. 2-5 years of work experience
Experience with regulatory permitting, environmental
assessments/studies, and wetland delineations is preferred.
Experience with interpreting and applying a regulatory
framework is preferred.
Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret technical
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Ability to relate to clients and people at all levels of
Ability to operate computer, using technical software and
proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to travel including overnight is necessary.
