Jimmy Ledet Named Vice President of Engineering
(Houma, LA) Last week, James P. Ledet, P.E. (Jimmy) was named the Vice President of Engineering at T. Baker Smith (TBS).
Jimmy has been a part of TBS since 1978, holding numerous positions including Engineer in Training, Project Manager, Thibodaux Branch Manager, and Principal in Charge of Engineering at the Thibodaux office. He is a professional engineer licensed in eight states—Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Georgia.
Jimmy Ledet, P.E. said, "I am honored and humbled to be named Vice President of Engineering, and I appreciate the many opportunities TBS has given me to grow professionally and personally over the years. We have a great group of engineers, and it is my goal to continue to move this group forward.”
Mr. Ledet has won numerous awards for his expertise and leadership, including the Louisiana Engineering Society's Technological Accomplishment award in 1995 for the unique hydraulic modeling involved with the 1-1B forced drainage project completed for Terrebonne Parish. He also was awarded the A.E. Wilder Leadership Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Louisiana (ACEC/L) in 2009 for his contributions to ACEC, which is the highest recognition an individual can achieve in this organization.
