Proceeds from the golf tournament were
immediately presented to various food banks throughout six locations
surrounding TBS office locations, as well as the Louisiana Engineering Society Math

the Good Samaritan Food Bank of Terrebonne, was present for the closing of the
tournament and presented a check to assist with the upcoming holiday food
The Smith family has a long legacy of
giving back to the community and believes that using this purpose-driven
philosophy in everyday practices has contributed to 100 years of success.
In 2012, T. Baker Smith founded the SPARK
group (Social Purpose And Responsibility Krewe) to provide an outlet for
fundraising efforts to allow associates, colleagues, and friends an opportunity
to contribute to various charities.
2013, the SPARK group took the success of the charitable fundraising efforts to
a new level, and the Smith family formed a non-profit organization for maximum
giving potential to the many deserving charities among the seven TBS locations.
Kenny Smith, Chairman of the Board and
Treasurer for the TBS SPARK Foundation, expresses, "We all have to pay rent for
the time we spend here on earth; the more you are blessed with, the more rent
I owe plenty.”
