TBS Relief Efforts in Mississippi River Re-opening - Thursday, July 11, 2013
July 2013 - T. Baker Smith (TBS) participated in vital salvage relief efforts to expedite the re-opening of the Mississippi River following a sunken tug boat on Saturday, July 6, 2013. The mile-long stretch of river near Venice was closed for over 24 hours. TBS was sought to provide hydrographic scanning solutions real-time in an expedited effort to get one of the nationís busiest and critically vital shipping lanes open and moving commerce. TBS worked closely with our client and the government to pinpoint the location of the sunken tug.
