The Challenge
Entergy Louisiana plans to build a new 22-mile transmission line starting at the Terrebonne Substation in Houma, LA heading westward to Bayou Boeuf in Amelia, LA. This new 230 kV transmission line is being built to maintain transmission grid reliability and to remain compliant with NERC reliability standards as well as Entergy’s local planning criteria.
