The Challenge

A client needed assistance developing a central frac water collection facility to collect surface waters to be utilized in the completion of a series of natural gas wells adjacent to surface waters which supply public drinking water for a mid-size municipality.

The Solution

TBS worked with the client to survey, design, and permit the facility. Through the engineering and design of the facility, TBS was not only able to successfully design the collection of surface water to reduce the need for groundwater to be utilized for frac water, but was also able to reduce the stormwater run-off from the facility since it was located adjacent to sensitive environmental and public resources.
