The Solution

Our Creative Approach

Approximately 8,000 linear feet of the gulf side hurricane protection levee was refurbished to grade and then elevated to +12.0 EL. The beach area that eroded needed sand to be dredged and pumped to replenish it to the profile of the original construction detailed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). TBS provided topographic surveying, civil design, and construction administration for this project to grade and shape 8,000 linear feet of levee and beach nourishment, including provisions for vegetative planting. TBS also provided project alternative designs for potential borrow areas for dredging and construction.
