The Challenge

To Be Met

Nicholls State University hosts the Manning Passing Academy football camp on their campus every summer for one weekend in July. Because the fields had poor grading and drainage, they would quickly inundate with standing water during rain events, prohibiting daily operations at the camp and threatening the future of the camp being held at Nicholls. The South Louisiana Economic Council (SLEC) secured the necessary funds to improve the fields, but the project would have an expedited design schedule so that construction could be completed in time to not impede the year’s Manning Passing Academy.

The Solution

Our Creative Approach

TBS was selected to survey, design, and coordinate the project. TBS was able to carve out 14 regulated sized and graded practice fields with the associated drainage improvements. TBS also assisted SLEC in the bidding and construction administration process. The project was constructed on budget and on time so that the summer’s Manning Academy was able to operate as scheduled.
