The Challenge
To Be Met
Nicholls State University required site development assistance to construct a 63,000-square-foot recreation center and numerous football and softball fields on its campus in Thibodaux, Louisiana. The site acquired was located in an undeveloped area of the campus, with not much infrastructure in place.
The Solution
Our Creative Approach
TBS investigated existing utilities and proposed extensions of waterlines, gas lines, and drainage for the property located on the Nicholls campus. The owner requested that TBS design a drainage master plan for the property and to include adjacent upstream areas. Due to the flat terrains in south Louisiana, design and construction of a sewer lift station was required to discharge the sanitary sewer from this two-story recreation facility into the existing sewer main located near the developed portion of the campus. As NSU is such a large part of the local community, TBS took much pride in using our talents and resources to provide such an important facility to NSU students and alumni.
